 Anxiolytics. 
 Afobazole is a derivative of 2-mercaptobenzimidazole, a selective anxiolytic that does not belong to the class of benzodiazepine receptor agonists. Prevents the development of membrane-dependent changes in the GABA receptor.
 The product has an anxiolytic effect with an activating component, not accompanied by hypnosedative effects (sedative effect is manifested in doses 40-50 times exceeding ED50 for anxiolytic effect). The product does not have muscle relaxant properties, negative impact on memory and attention. When using it, product dependence does not form and withdrawal syndrome does not develop. The effect of the product is realized mainly through a combination of anxiolytic (eliminating anxiety) and stimulating (activating) effects. Reduction or elimination of anxiety (concern, bad feelings, fears, irritability), tension (timidity, tearfulness, feeling of restlessness, inability to relax, insomnia, fear), and consequently - somatic (muscular, sensory, cardiovascular gastrointestinal discomfort), vegetative (dry mouth, sweating, dizziness), cognitive (difficulty concentrating, poor memory) disorders are observed on the 5-7th day of support with the product. The maximum effect is achieved by the end of the 4th week of support and persists after discontinuation of the product for an average of 1-2 weeks.
