Composition
Active substance: dexpanthenol;
1 g of cream contains 50 mg of dexpanthenol;
excipients: DL-pantolactone, phenoxyethanol, Amphizol K, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, lanolin, isopropyl myristate, propylene glycol, purified water.
Usage form
Cream.
Main physicochemical properties: homogeneous opaque cream of white or white with a yellowish tint, with a faint odor.
Pharmacotherapeutic group
Agents for the support of wounds and ulcerative lesions. Products that promote recovery (scarring) of wounds. Dexpanthenol.
Indications
Bepanten®, cream, is used in the following cases:
preventive support of dry, reddened skin or skin with cracks;
accelerating healing and epithelialization of the skin in cases of micro-injuries (minor burns and scratches); for skin irritations (for example, due to radiotherapy, phototherapy, or ultraviolet exposure); diaper dermatitis; in chronic skin ulcers and pressure sores; anal fissures; cervical erosions and after skin grafting;
support of the skin of patients during and after local application of corticosteroids;
preventive care for the breasts of women who are breastfeeding, and for the support of irritations and fissures of the nipples.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to dexpanthenol or other components of the product.
