For adults with acute diarrhea, it is recommended to start with the use of 2 pcs (4 mg), then take 1 pc (2 mg) after each loose stool. The maximum permissible use per day is 8 pcs (16 mg).
For chronic diarrhea, adults are usually recommended 4 mg per day.
For children over 6 years old, the initial dose is 2 mg, then 2 mg after each loose stool. The maximum daily use is 4 pcs (8 mg). For chronic diarrhea, children over 6 years of age are recommended 2 mg per day.
After the stool has returned to normal or if there has been no bowel movement for 12 hours, Loperamide should be discontinued.
