Composition

Main properties:

Whole raw material: globular flower heads, solitary or several together on short woolly-felt flower stalks up to 1 cm long, about 7 mm in diameter. The flower heads consist of numerous flowers arranged on a bare receptacle, surrounded by many loosely pressed involucral bracts. All flowers are tubular, five-toothed, bisexual, with a pappus. The involucral bracts are concave, dry, membranous, shiny, outer ones are ovate, middle ones are spatulate, elongated, inner ones are narrow, linear.

The color of the bracts is lemon-yellow, the flowers are lemon-yellow or orange. The odor is weak, pleasant. The taste is spicy-bitter.

Indications
