The determination is based on the principle of competitive immunochromatographic analysis, in which the product (or its metabolites) present in the analyzed sample competes with the product immobilized on the membrane of the immunochromatographic strip placed in a plastic plate for the possibility of binding to specific monoclonal antibodies to the corresponding product, conjugated with colloidal gold, preventing the formation of a pink-violet line in the test area. The remaining reagents provide the formation of a pink-violet line in the control zone, regardless of the presence of the product, which confirms the correctness of the determination procedure. If the product concentration in the sample is higher or equal to the threshold, only one pink-purple line is formed in the control zone, and if the product is absent or its concentration is lower than the threshold, two lines (test and control) are formed.

The sensitivity of the determination (threshold, or minimum detectable concentration) is for the following products (or their metabolites): amphetamine - 1000 ng / ml, marijuana - 50 ng / ml; morphine - 300 ng / ml, cocaine - 300 ng / ml, methamphetamine - 500 ng / ml. The analysis time is 5 minutes.
