The ImmunoChrom-anti-HIV-1/2-Express kit is intended for one-stage rapid qualitative in vitro determination of the presence of antibodies to human immunodeficiency virus type 1 and/or type 2 (HIV-1/2) in serum (plasma) or whole blood by immunochromatographic analysis.
Operating principle: The determination is based on the principle of immunochromatographic analysis. The test sample is absorbed by the absorbent section of the immunochromatographic strip, in the presence of antibodies to HIV-1/2 in the sample, the latter react with recombinant HIV antigens associated with stained microparticles, forming a stained antigen-antibody complex. This complex moves along the membrane of the strip with a liquid front and reacts with recombinant HIV antigens immobilized on the membrane in the test zone of the strip, forming a pink-violet line. The remaining components form a pink-violet line at the top of the test area (control). The result of the reaction is evaluated visually after 15 minutes).
